This is the debut for Iron Dogs, and this is as stripped-down, low-fi Heavy Metal as you are ever likely to hear. The band has a lot of enthusiasm, and bashes out some rather sloppy Brocas Helm-styled flailing. The riffs are actually pretty good, even if the recording is severely lacking, and the band too often tries melodic flourishes which don't reproduce very well with this kind of caveman production job. Vocalist Jo Capitalicide is not the worst singer I've ever heard, but he's not really very good either, and he's off key more often than not. This band has energy, and they have the right idea, but the execution here is pretty piss poor. |
