There are about eight bands named Centurion, but this is the Death Metal band from Poland - no, the other one. The one thing that leaps to mind when I hear this is "Krisiun", as that is pretty much the beginning and the end of the influences here. You get the pummeling double-bass, the scale-built riffs, and the same tendency Krisiun had for years of writing short songs and short albums. This disc is less than 30 minutes long, and is a blast of fury from note one. It's not doing anything that hasn't been done, but it's doing it pretty well. |
