Wandersword are a Russian band who play a melodic kind of Death/Black metal with folk overtones and Viking/Heathen lyrical themes. This has some really strong parts, with good melodies and solid production values, but the songwriting is a bit disjointed and fails to really come together. If you are into bands like Pagan Reign this will be an album you want to look into, but as a whole it doesn't really hold up. This is enjoyable while it's on, but doesn't leave much impression. |
