Second full-length of highly orthodox Black Metal from this German one-man evil machine. Sole band member Avenger has been in something like 15 other bands, and is the prime instigator in the long-lived Front Beast, so this is no rookie recording.
You get everything here you would expect: a gritty, churning guitar sound, necro rasping vocals, and primitive instrumentation throughout 8 tracks of mayhem concerning battle, werewolves, barbarism, hatred, full moons, fire, blood, and more werewolves - all shit I heartily fucking approve of. The music on here is competent but not really great. Overall this is a bit too stodgy, with a consistent slow pace and not enough face-ripping speed to suit me. The riffs are solid, the vocals are sometimes dodgy, and nothing surprising whatsoever happens for the whole duration. This is a good bet for fans of classic BM worship, but there's nothing essential about it.
