Retro Thrash fever keeps growing and growing, I see. It's impossible to say how many new Thrash Metal bands there are nowadays, probably thousands and thousands, you can never tell. Belgian thrashers Bloodrocuted are certainly one of the fresh faces that want to grab a slice from the Thrash revival pie. The band was founded in 2010 and has put out their debut, Doomed to Annihilation. The album features 8 tracks spanning 27 minutes of music that oozes Gama Bomb's Crossover Thrash combined with early Teutonic Thrash and a fair amount of Slayer riffing throughout the songs. This is not bad but it lacks aggression here and there and the band could have addressed some clumsy parts in their song structures that would have enabled them to flow better. It's said that the early bird catches the worm but it was probably a bit too early for Bloodrocuted to enter the studio to record this album. With a little more time and patience, this record could have captured a much hungrier, aggressive and polished Bloodrocuted. |
