Now this is what you call in your face. Fucking hell man, the drums absolutely destroy here. Sangus Legionaris are a violent bunch, delivering a brand of black/thrash metal pretty much they way it was intended back when acts like Venom and Sarcófago were ruining people's days. Prepare for just under ten minutes of crusty, bruising heavy metal played with all the evil swagger Sangus Legionaris clearly intended.
Whilst this isn't a sound I often look to, it's one I can always appreciate. The energy and attitude are what sells this, with a recording that aims to be as in your face as possible. Expect loads of guitar feedback, overpowering and crashing drums, vintage riffs and virulent vocals. This is pure raw, unadulterated black/thrash that separates the men from the posers. I guess I pretty much knew what to expect from the black and white cover adorned with a tank and a skull.
Certainly not one for the faint of heart, this is like I say; in your face, warts and all. Little care is given to anything other than mayhem, which is just fine in my book. If you have a love for raw and dirty black/thrash with a twist of crust then Sangus Legionaris are a band you're going to want to check out. Turn this one up to eleven and prepare for total and utter destruction. Ugh!
