German pioneers of harsh, blackened Thrash Metal Outrage are back with a new album titled We the Dead, which is the band's 8th full-length studio album. 12 songs are offered on this opus and all cylinders are firing with Outrage's intensity level reaching new heights. Whenever I listen to this German bunch, they remind me of a nastier and more evil version of their countrymen Sodom. Frank P. "The Voice of Hell" sounds like he could be the twin brother of Tom Angelripper. Content-wise, We the Dead is surprisingly vicious, very much like their previous album Go to Hell, released in 2011. However, We the Dead is a tad more technically advanced compared to Go to Hell, better produced and also a bit more versatile and melodic. Outrage are, in my opinion, at their best on some of the fastest tracks like "The Biggest Wrench," "The Elemental War," "Death from Behind" and "Delos," unleashing so much hell that it makes it extremely difficult for a listener to not get energized and pumped up. Be warned; We the Dead may snap your neck, so be careful. Outrage is still raging. |
