It's hard to believe Sabaton have put out 7 albums since 2005, with enough of a back catalog to have obvious ups and downs. For a long time I thought they would never catch Primo Victoria as a high point, but then they managed another peak with Art of War in 2008. Since then, they have cranked out two mediocre albums, and I was kind of expecting this one to be a disappointment. After all, this band seems to have an "on" mode where they produce some of the most kickass metal known to man, and then an "off" mode when they mostly seem to try and imitate their past glories and do it less well than they should.

This is another album of good stuff. The opening blast of "Night Witches" put a smile on my face, and then the band keeps punching out good songs. "No Bullet's Fly", "Inmate 4859", "Resist and Bite" - not a song on here is a skipper. The production is solid, with a stronger guitar sound than the past few discs, and much better choruses that will get your fist in the air. This one does not hit the highs of "Into the Fire" or "Ghost Division", but it is a whole lot of fucking fun.
