This is a UK band that seem intent on pushing boundaries and doing something different, which I am not opposed to in principle, but they are not really doing anything great while they are at it. They have a base that is kind of like a Cascadian sound, but they keep layering all this other crap onto it, and not in an organic way, but just crammed in there in a way that is meant to seem clever and avant-garde, but is really just sloppy and pointless. The album seems to primarily exist to make noise and try to be pretentious. It only manages the first one. |
