Well, this didn't look so good, but it is actually pretty fucking killer. Dead Soul Alliance are a Canadian act who play beefy, muscular Death Metal with a huge, abusive guitar sound and a bellowing, roaring songwriting approach that owes equal amounts to Dismember, Bolt Thrower, and Sodom. These songs are chaotic assaults of pummelling riffs and Angelripper-styled vocals that lend a really cool classic sound to the whole thing. When they mixed this they turned the guitars up to like 150 and made the vocals just a part of the landscape, so it does not have that problem where the vocals or the drums are too loud. This is nonstop raging guitars and head-smashing rage. Fuck yeah. |
