French Death Metal act Heboidophrenie represents a part of the Death Metal which I draw a line at there is no crossing it, under any circumstances. What Heboidophrenie do on their debut album, Origin of Madness, is occasionally use a very annoying "pig squeal" type of vocal, something that makes me turn my head away immediately. It's just not for me. Plus, there are a few Metalcore elements in their music, which makes me confident that Origin of Madness will never find its way into my CD-player again. These French dudes' Death Metal is otherwise pretty darn brutal and heavy with a couple of good ideas and a crispy guitar sound, but that's about it. Good luck to Hebiodophrenie in finding the target next time as Origin of Madness is a complete miss. |
