Poland's Death Metal troops Embrional spare no one. They play the most blasphemous and annihilating type of Death Metal. The band's 2007 demo, titled Annihilation, originally containing six cuts, has been released on CD by Poland's underground label Old Temple with eight additional live cuts recorded at the beginning of April, 2004 at RudeBoy Club in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.

Embrional remind me of the demo era of controversial American grand blasphemers Amon, the band that later became Deicide. They are not nearly as technical or satanic as Amon but they are pretty close. The demo alone is cool to get in an official format and it truly rips the fuck out of you. Nothing beats brutal, all-things-holy destroying shit; music wise, I mean. As for the live stuff, I expected to hear something muddy but I am glad to say I was wrong. The live stuff unleashes a viciously biting demon or two and they bring both Amon's and Rigor Mortis/Immolation's early times to mind. They have incorporated a plenty of unorthodox riffage into their songs and try to break out of the mold a little bit. Listen to the song "Necropolis," especially the very beginning. Does it sound as ominous and eerie as the middle part of Iron Maiden's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner"? I guess it does.

Embrional has the potential to become a noteworthy Death Metal act from Poland if this release is truly a road sign of better things ahead.
