Here we have Thrash Metal from France for a change, old school Thrash to be precise. DeadlySins have been around since the beginning of 2000 and have released two full-length studio albums thus far, the second, titled Anticlockwise, released in November 2014. DeadlySins' harsh and straightforward Thrash Metal blends some American as well as European Thrash flavors in which one can find some obvious traces of early Destruction and Exumer along with the relentless, Hardcore aggression of a band like Municipal Waste. This mixture works really well for them in my honest opinion and would seem to make them a worthwhile live act. DeadlySins don't bring anything new to this particular genre but they do sound entertaining and are a lot of fun to listen to. Mathieu' sandpaper-dry vocals take some time to get used to but once you do, surprisingly, they start to work okay. In short, DeadlySins offers a decent dose of old school-tinged Thrash Metal on their second opus and if that's something that sounds good to you then don't hesitate to check them out. Good Thrash is always good Thrash, no matter how you cook/boil/fry it. Dinnertime for some Thrash cuts is now, folks! |
