The credits on this split CD from Hungarian Black Metal bands Witcher and Vrag state that "all tracks are cover versions of Hungarian military songs. We wanted to commemorate the fallen Hungarian heroes of World War II." Skepticism reigns supreme though it’s always a great thing when someone wants to honor something/someone or pay tribute to past achievements.

Unfortunately neither Witcher nor Vrag managed to impress me with their sincere attempts to cover some of their home country’s endless pool of military songs. I feel terrible saying this but I don’t feel it was a good idea to cover military songs in the first place. Both Witcher’s and Vrag’s contributions sound like blurry messes of disturbed noise with an awful, basement production. There’s nothing at all that grabs my interest. There may be something for so-called "über-kvlt" and "über-tr00" underground Black Metal fans, I suppose, but I am not one of them.
