Diamond doesn't sound like the name of an extreme Metal band, does it? Happily, you can't judge a book by its cover and that seems to be case with this Russian act.

I was expecting to hear some light Hard Rock or soft Heavy Metal with cheesy lyrics and shit but Diamond plays a mixture of Thrash and Death Metal that has a tendency bring up bands like Six Feet Under, Massacre (due to Roman's grunting vocal delivery) and Vader (due to the very technical approach to their music). In fact, Diamond kicks some serious ass.

As is the case with so many Russian extreme Metal bands nowadays the guys in Diamond are definitely not rookies with their instruments. They must have years of experience because their playing is tight and convincing as hell and they let their instruments roar and rip like World War III just started. Diamond's Death/Thrash Metal approach is one of muscular and murderous riff avalanches from the Polish Death Metal scene. You really cannot go wrong with Diamond's stuff; it has many ingredients that will make you want to check out this relatively unknown Russian act.

Oh and it doesn't matter if you like them or not as the album title states loud and clear; Fuck Your Opinion. So there.
