Mexican death dealers Demonic Manifestation have truly learned their lessons. If you dig old school music that reeks of 90s Swedish and Finnish Death Metal, do not look any further. This is definitely something for you. This Mexican foursome has tried their best to ape the Swedish/Finnish Death Metal sound of the eighties and all they have done so in a very respectable way. Demonic Manifestation's debut album, World of Horror, is all about the sounds of Carnage, Nihilist/Entombed, Dismember, Demilich's and Demigod's demo eras, Gorement and similar stuff. These death-necks undoubtedly know their stuff and they don't hesitate to show it on their debut, which is simply all about cherishing the past. It's actually hard to try to say anything more about this record that would surprise you because Demonic Manifestation isn't even trying to sound original or unique. Instead, they know how to tune guitars down and make some corpse-grinding Death Metal that is a clear tribute to the past. At that, they have done a perfect job. Death Metal done right. That's what World of Horror is all about. |
