This is supposed to be the advance tape of Exumer's debut album, Possessed by Fire; the album that fans of Teutonic Thrash Metal consider the band's best work.

This advance tape of Possessed by Fire has been completely remastered but it still sounds like a raw demo version of what was to come on the official release of the album. It has been aptly titled Fire Before Possession - The Lost Tapes and honestly it really only serves the die-hard Exumer fans that want everything this reformed Thrash force recorded. The songs are in a different order from the Possessed by Fire and the song "Sorrows of the Judgement" is completely missing. This raw recording does bring to mind the tape-trading times of the past so some nostalgic values are definitely there, which I find kind of cool.

If you can find some extra money at the bottom of your pocket and cannot get enough of Exumer or are just a Thrash Metal collector, then by all means invest in this release. Just remember that the official release of Possessed by Fire sounds far superior to this remastered advance tape of the same album. ;o)
