Russia's Nomans Land plays Viking Metal in the melodic/traditional musical style with a mix of harsh and clean vocals on their fifth full-length Last Crusade. The songs are well played with decent riffs and vocals that are well suited to the style. There's nothing all that unique about what Nomans Land is doing though tracks like "Strain at the Oars" with its catchy chorus are a cut above the usual fare you gets from bands like this. If you are into bands like Tyr or Rebellion, you should be able to find a place in your collection for Last Crusade. |
