Short and... sweet? Evil Army present here a short EP of faster, 80s-style crossover-meets-German Thrash. It's kind of basic and doesn't bring anything new to the table, but then again the target audience generally looks more at getting their asses kicked than originality in their Thrash, and Violence and War delivers just that, with awesome old-school cover art to boot. At times this also reminds me a bit of old Razor, just neither as good nor as memorable. It's one of those recordings that's good while it's on, but doesn't leave much to remember it when it's over. Still, it'll get the head banging, the foot tapping and you'll be playing that air guitar at high speed. Not essential, but fun. |
