Christ Agony is the sole release from Poland's Union, a band that was/is actually known by the Christ Agony moniker on albums released both before and after this 2005 offering. Why the name change for one release, I have no clue; nor am I familiar with any of the works released under the other name, but for Christ Agony (the actual album), the band unleashes some catchy, riff-tastic, Death-tinged Black Metal. With a powerful mix and vicious songs, Christ Agony will appeal to a broad spectrum of extreme metal fans. Not essential, but worth a listen. |
