Recrucide is undoubtedly one of the longest-running Chilean underground Metal forces out there nowadays. They have been around 23 years and released three full-length studio albums. This is nicely packaged album, coming in a A5-digipak format, but it unfortunately doesn't have so much to offer content-wise. After a while one gets the feeling that all of their songs are tarred with the same brush, following the same pattern without any surprise or excitement factor whatsoever attached to them. Recrucide simply lack any good ideas to make any of their songs really stand out on this record, no matter how good musicians they all might be. Their partly modern – and even teeny-weeny core-ish – Death/Thrash does not really go anywhere, the substance of their songs leaving much to hope for. Only "Ash" has something to try to impress people, but that's about it. |
