Slaughter or be slaughtered... Hide or prepared to be blown to thousands of worthless pieces. Have no mercy toward your enemies and let them taste the sweet blood in their own mouths. Oh, before I forget to tell you, the Nagant M1895 revolver is a seven-shot, gas-seal revolver that was designed and produced by Belgian industrialist Léon Nagant for the Russian Empire – in case you were wondering where the band got their name from. Anyways, there you go...

Finland's deathsters Nagant Neckshot seem to love the whole concept built around the Winter War between Finland and the Soviet Union (1939-1940). Based on this particular concept, they have composed nine aggressive, maniac-like and hysterically attacking songs for their promotional demo release; "the demo" release, which looks like a real pro-thing to the casual listener. Musically, Nagant Neckshot rely heavily on strongly riff-based Death Metal that has influences from both the American and European Death Metal grounds. The band's music is really well done, having many tiny but essential elements and nuances. Kevin Talley (Suffocation, among other bands) also played the drums on this album – and we already know where Kevin comes from as far as his drumming is concerned, right? But he's not the only guest on this demo: Pessi Haltsonen (vokills both for Torture Killer and Retaliatory Measures) tortures his lungs in a song called "Uraa!", ripping them shamelessly to pieces in this Death Metal bombardment.

There are boatloads of incipient potential in Nagant Neckshot to take command in the world of extreme Metal and I bet it's simply a matter of time before some label will also see them the same way as I personally do, and snap them under their dark wings.
