Well, it's been a good while since I've listened to anything billed as brutal Death Metal. This EP is the third release from Spaniards Upcoming Devastation and it's a nerve-shredding slab of disgusting, bellowing Death Metal. There's a reasonable degree of technical lunacy throughout the three tracks, which will be sure to please scale runners and tech buffs, and just the right amount of anvil dropping riffs and dirty grooves to ensure approval in its parent genre. Certainly not my cup of tea thanks to vomit-spewing vocals, but I'd say this disc should be of note to fans of the style as it's hardly bad. |
