These Swedish noise monsters put their band together back in 2003 and since then have recorded five demos, prior to their debut album, titledĀ (R)evolutionär Återvändsgränd, which features 13 songs that could shortly be described as some sort of filthy and unholy marriage between Death Metal and Grindcore. This stuff sounds all immensely heavy and mean, and it's sung in their native Swedish language. Somehow, though, the Condemnatory troops don't manage to slice this hard-baked cake of theirs in the most optimal way – the way that could make your guts hurt. I don't know... Both Grindcore and Death Metal are of course wonderful things when done convincingly, entertainingly, and with some true balls, but unfortunately these Swedes don't offer much of those essential values to convince me. Sorry guys. Better luck next time. |
