Really strong debut for a band out of nowhere (or North Carolina, not much different) who have only been together for three years but already have more polish and potential than a lot of bands who have been gigging for a decade. Final Sign play straight-up Heavy Metal in the vein of Primal Fear, classic Riot, or Aska. I mention Aska specifically because vocalist Shawn Pelata sounds more than a little like George Call, though he doesn't wail on the highs quite as much. He's got a powerful voice and doesn't fuck around with it, pulling off the album with style and charisma. The backing of his bandmates is not to be overlooked either, as guitarist Brian Williams (also of October 31) pumps out killer, headbang riffs that ooze old-school class.

This is just a killer album, with plenty of riffs and hooks to keep you air guitaring along the whole way. Any fan of good old Heavy Metal will find plenty here to get excited about.
