Defiant is a Ukranian band and 2016's Time Isn't Healing is their second full-length and appears to be their first in English. Gritty Heavy/Power Metal is Defiant's style and they have a kind of loose, out-of-the-garage vibe going on. The songwriting is pretty pedestrian and none of the riffs or choruses are particularly memorable, something that isn't helped by the limited vocal range of the singer. Defiant isn't great nor awful but will need to improve in a couple of important areas before the Metal world is going to take much notice.
