Bolivian Metal act Hate has a long career behind them: 24 years this year, during which they recorded six studio albums in all. The band's fifth studio album, La sangre del tiempo, was originally released in 2013, which German Ragnarök Records reissued with three different songs on their version (tracks 10 and 11 are taken from the 2004 EP Angel Oscuro and track 12 is taken from the 2007 Pandemonium album). So, you like a combination of Thrash and Groove Metal? Well, good for you because I don't. I am afraid Hate's combination of Thrash Metal mixed with those Groove parts isn't really targeted for persons like me that enjoy Thrash Metal without that Groove thing. In fact, this Groove element within the band's sound pretty much ruins it all for me totally. No matter how hard I try looking at more positive sides of this record, those Thrash ingredients that are undoubtedly there, it does not change this ugly fact that I find this album a turn-off. Well, out the open window... |
