Review

Last Villain Testament is the second album from this one-man band out of the United Kingdom. I quite liked the debut with its wide variety of metallic influences and this one is in the same mold, but much tighter in its focus which is crunchy, Euro-power metal similar to Gamma Ray and Helloween. Singer Rafael Gazal is back with his powerful, gritty delivery and he belts out vocal lines on songs like "War of Nations" and "Firenado" that I can easily imagine Andy Deris letting loose. The music on these cuts, and much of Last Villain Testament, is on the faster side but not insanely so. There is still some variation in Ty Morn's music with "The One" again sounding like something Walpyrgus could have done where "Eyes of the Many Gods" has a slight Middle Eastern flavor like Ritchie Blackmore started with "Stargazer" and a million bands since have emulated. I think Last Villain Testament is a bit safer than Istor, but it is still entertaining and fist-pumping heavy metal that should get the blood pumping.
