There are a number of bands called Eliminator, but this is a UK band who play straight-up Heavy Metal with a definite—if unsurprising—debt to the sound of classic Maiden. You have galloping rhythms, twin-guitar harmonies, and the soaring vocals of frontman Danny Foster, whose voice maybe doesn’t have as much character as I would like, but he has range and energy. The recording on this is enjoyably rough, making this sound even more vintage. The playing and songwriting are solid, if not really better than that. This band also shares the Maiden tendency to flog their choruses too many times, but overall, this is an enjoyable album for NWOBHM or NWOTHM fans.
