Pretty good black metal here that offers some variety, from pedal-to-the-metal all the way down to a much slower, more doomy, gloomy and melancholic style. Even the fastest part have some melodic leanings that give them more distinctiveness, so this doesn’t fall into the trap of a samey-sounding wall of sound. Even the rasps sound a little melodic and are somewhat decipherable given enough effort on the part of the listener. Not a release that revolutionizes the genre, but it’s well done and quite enjoyable. |
