Early Nuclear Assault/Slayer-style Thrash Metal is the name of the game for California's Zombie Holocaust. Their debut, Strike Force, originally self-released in 2009 and repressed by EBM in 2011 is full of speedy riffing and angry vocals. With a nickname like "Ridiculous" it should come as no surprise singer Nicholas Gomez sounds more than a bit like Mike Muir, giving Zombie Holocaust an additional skateboard/hardcore dynamic to their sound. There is nothing about Strike Force you haven't heard before, so apply the standard rules when making your buying decisions. If you like Thrash with aggressive, clean vocals and speed to spare, go for it. If that style never did if for you before, you can safely steer clear. |
