Four studio albums in 9 years since Aggression reformed in 2014, that's not bad, is it? I liked last year's From Hell with Hate (the main turn off being the grossly misplaced female vocals on "Antichrist Devil Cunt"), but now Frozen Aggressors has been seriously kicking my ass for a few weeks now. We can't call these guys retro-thrash since they formed way back in the '80s, but listening to this album, you'd think the guys were frozen (uhuh) in time way back when, because that's exactly what Frozen Aggressors sounds like: raw, aggressive, fast thrash delivered with teenage-revolted attitude. The album is heavy as fuck, most songs are catchy, and I dare you to fight the urge to press Play again once it's over. Most of this is straightforward and to the point, blazing away and taking no prisoners, but the band also throws in some slower and more melodic moments, though dark and aggressive enough that it doesn't water down the mood of the album in any way. This is one album where you can say that the veterans are showing the kids how it's done. Great thrash all around.
