Here's another excellent product from the "Finnish Connection". After Stratovarius, Nightwish and Children of Bodom, here comes Sonata Arctica. This young band from Finland debut with the Ecliptica album. Sonata Arctica are in the power metal style, and the keyboards are very present as in any good power metal. We can compare them to their "big brothers" from Stratovarius, but as far as I'm concerned, they have something more than Stratovarius. Simply put, they've "got it". Those youngsters are real virtuosos. Their main strenght is in the choruses, they reach out to you, they just too powerful! Their music is pretty catchy and has a good studio sound. Very good debut for this young band whom nostalgics still listening mostly to 80's metal should check out. I can't wait for the next album!

If you do not have the bonus track Mary-Lou, try to find it, it is very good, in fact it's my favorite.
