One can expect chaos and devastation from Anaal Nathrakh, and this album is no exception. Their signature fast, pounding, raw yet precise black metal is all over this, but there are some thrashier elements to be found and I'd say—at least from memory—that they use more clean vocals on this one than on the other albums I've heard by the band. Mind you, their clean vocals are not exactly soothing and kind of haunting. There are also some death growls to be found here, which is quite a contrast with the piercing black metal screeches the band tends to use. Hell Is Empty, And All the Devils Are Here is fast and crushingly heavy with very little room for the listener to breathe. Despite its relatively short length, it's a busy album that warrants multiple listens to really take it all in.
